The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met June 5, 2008 for the monthly business meeting with the following ladies present: Sandee Hartley, Becky Hardin, Bobbie Churchill, Dorothy Sterner, Hattie Rogers, Jo Ann Snow, Jo Anne Hardy, Nell McHorse, Pat Ribb, and Anita Miles.

The President, Anita Miles, called the meeting to order and the meeting was opened with prayer led by the Club Chaplain, Nell McHorse. The Secretary, Hattie Rogers, read the minutes and they were approved as read. The Treasurer, Bobbie Churchill, gave the financial report.

Jo Anne Hardy gave an update on the painting of the tables.

The Four Ball Chair, Sandee Hartley, reported that the monthly tourney will be in Lampasas, Texas on June 17, 2008.

The meeting adjourned for play day with the June Chair, Jo Anne Hardy, calling for a round of Low Gross, Low Net, and Low Putts. First Low Gross went to Anita Miles, First Low Net went to Jo Anne Hardy, and First Low Putts went to Bobbie Churchill. Bobbie and Dorothy Sterner both had only 13 putts on the front nine but Bobbie had 16 on the back nine and Dorothy had 18, a duel to the finish.

The course is in beautiful shape with the greens now recovering from problems. The mowing and enlarging of the greens has enhanced the overall beauty of the course. It’s just a gorgeous place to be “swinging!”
