We are still waiting, hoping and praying for some rain. Every day gets a little dryer with this hot wind blowing.

The 42 tournament will be this Saturday night in Richland Springs. The community meeting will be held on the 21st and Marilyn Suber and I will be the hostesses.

The Elm Grove VFD will be holding their 1st annual fund raiser this Saturday night, the 14th. The fish fry will begin at 5:00 P.M. followed by an auction. Donations will be accepted for the fish dinner. Be sure and come out for some good food and visiting and help out a worthy cause.

I accompanied Michael and Marilyn Suber to Abilene Saturday night to watch Theron Parson play for the south in the Myrle Greathouse FCA Classic football game. The south lost by a score of 17-7 but Theron got in a lot of playing time and he had a great week with the other players. It was a good experience for all involved.

Michael Suber filled in as preacher for Dean Snoddy last Sunday since the Snoddys were attending a reunion in Arlington.

I will be visiting with the Parson family in Bangs this week. I am looking forward to playing with 4 year old, Hannah.
