The news has dried up and blown away with all the wind that blew all last week. The winds have made some of the pastures look like a blow torch has been applied to the grass. The gardens are having to be watered just about every day to keep them going. The rain is needed very badly.

R.J. and Patsy Henniger celebrated their anniversary last week with son Pete and some members of the family, but the big celebration will be after all of the children can be here. Patsy reported that they were married at the Church of Christ at Bend and they had their picture taken in front of the church. They returned to the church June 1 and their son Pete took their picture in the exact spot where they had their wedding picture taken. There are usually pictures of the couple who are celebrating an anniversary when the marriage took place and a present day photo, but how many do you see of the couple at the exact spot say fifty years later. They will now have a before and after photo of the event.

Barbara Jones had a stint put in last week after tests were run showing she had some blockage. She came home the following day and is reported to be doing very well. No update on the Scroggins family.

Bill and Jo Price made a flying trip to Midland Thursday to join the Arco Retirees at their luncheon held at the Ranch Hills Country Club. A long way to go and eat lunch, but guess it is worth the drive even with the price of gas.

Spring and Haley Price along with her mother and other members of her family were in San Antonio this past weekend to visit Sea World.
