The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met March 3, 2010 for the monthly business meeting. The meeting was called to order by the President, Anita Miles, and opened with prayer by Jo Ann Snow. The Secretary, Jo Anne Hardy, read the minutes and they were approved as read. The Treasurer, Bobbie Churchill, gave the financial report for January and February.

Sandee Hartley, the Traveling 4-Ball Chair, announced that the March play would be in Delaware Springs on March 16, 2011.

The ladies adjourned for a game of Low Net and Low Gross with Sandee Hartley winning Low Gross and Dorothy Sterner winning Low Net. Dorothy won the ‘putt’ pot for the second time in a row. Dorothy is on a roll! Jo Ann Snow chipped in to win the chip in pot for the second time in a row. What’s going on here? Becky Hardin also played the round of golf and Bobbie Churchill, Jo Anne Hardy, and Anita Miles made the business meeting.

Hattie Rogers, Jo Ann Snow, Sandee Hartley, Jo Anne Hardy, and Anita Miles will be attending the Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Tournament the first week in April at Delaware Springs. This is the spring tournament and all the ladies look forward to this event of golfing with ladies from all over Texas. We nearly always have winners and we always have fun! This month’s traveling 4-ball at Delaware Springs will give us a practice round and should give us an ‘edge.’ However, the secret to good golf is simply "swinging!"
