We are having some nice, warm days after a low of 30 degrees on Sunday morning. We are expected to reach 80 degrees this week. That is Texas weather for you!

Don’t forget to "spring forward" next Sunday as we begin daylight savings time. You don’t want to show up late for church.

We are sorry to report that Jr. Evans is back in the hospital in Brownwood. He is not doing well at all and he and Bonnie and their daughter, Melissa, need our prayers.

The Elm Grove VFD came to the rescue last Tuesday when a fire broke out on my former place. The smoke was spotted about 4:30 in the evening in the east field and pasture. The fire chief, David Norris, was one of the first to arrive and he put out the call for help. Within a very short time, there were three fire trucks and a good group of men to fight the fire. It was all brought under control with only about an acre being burned off. Theron Parson and Andy Cummings continued to keep an eye on it later that night and into the next day. I can’t imagine what would have happened without our fire department. Armand and Amanda Bonvicino own the place now and we join them in saying a great big "Thank You" to the Elm Grove Fire Department!

The gospel singing will be March 19th at 7:30 PM. Mark your calendar and tell all your friends and neighbors. There will be no business meeting due to the singing.

The 42 tournament will be this Saturday night in Richland Springs.
