Thursday, June 12, 2008 • Posted June 12, 2008

The San Saba Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting June 9th for their newest member, Boney & Claud's Country Store. The store, owned and operated by Larry and Dana Sanderson began operation September 1, 2005. Hand-dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream was added in May of 2008.

The store specializes in a variety of food products, with emphasis on pecans, both raw and flavored, as well as many pecan related items. They handle a variety of sauces, salsas, honey butters, flavored food toppings, honey and syrup.

A number of hand-crafted items are also offered. These include decorative pillows, pillow cases, metal art, and wood-crafted items all featuring a western theme and mostly crafted by area artisans. They also have a line of wood stock percussion tuned wind chimes ranging in price from $30 - $60.

Larry and Dana have just added a line of post cards and greeting cards that feature some beautiful photos of Mill Pond Park and the local courthouse. These cards are of professional quality and were designed and developed by Jennifer Sanderson (Yancey's wife) of Sanderson Marketing from Copperas Cove, Texas.

Boney & Claud's Country Store is located at 311 N. High. They are open 9:00 - 5:00 daily (closed on Wednesday). Their phone number is 325-372-6887.
