Receipts totaled 2207 head for the week. The market continued its upward trend throughout the week with the stocker steers selling $5 to $7 higher and the stocker heifers $5 to $6 higher. Feeder steers were $3 higher with some $5 higher. Feeder heifers sold $3 to $5 better. The packer cows and bulls were $3 to $4 lower after the last 2 weeks of sharp increases due to the extreme cold conditions around the county which limited the number that were able to move to the market. The packer cows are still selling at high levels with the better cows bringing $68 to $75 and the better packer bulls going from $85 to $90.
