The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met February 24, 2011 for play day with a game of ‘Best At Something, where you get a point for being in the fairway on your drive, getting on the green in regulation, and for first in the hole; and subtracting a point for being in a hazard, loosing your ball, or three putting.

First Place went to Dorothy Sterner and she also won the putt pot and Low Net for the day and the only birdie for the day. A great day for Dorothy!

Second place went to Sandee Hartley who also scored the Low Gross for the day.

Hattie Rogers and Jo Anne Snow also played and Janet Hoyt and Aileen Roberts began play but let a little rain scare them off. They are not seasoned golfers yet! But wonderful new members of the Ladies Golf Association and they will have their day in the sun. It’s just a matter of time and ‘swinging’!

We can’t let this go by without congratulating the basketball Lady Dillos, REGIONAL CHAMPS, for the first time in the history of San Saba High! They will be playing for STATE this weekend. They have played great basketball and overcome all the odds to advance to this level. They aren’t rated, not picked, and yet they keep on winning! They have been referred to as "The Cinderella Team"! San Saba is proud of all you girls and coaches!

So on that note and headed to the State play offs let’s just say.....Keep on "shooting" girls!
