The Lady Dillos started the week by traveling to Harper. It was a good night for the Lady Dillos as they pulled out the win 10-3. Nickie Ortiz got the start in the circle. She pitched 7 complete allowing only 1 earned run while striking out 10.

Bianca Dawson went 1 for 3 with an RBI single. Candace Saldivar went 1 for 3 with an RBI single. Nickie Ortiz went 3-5 with an RBI double and a 2 run single. =Mckenzie Hibler went 2-4 with an RBI single. Itzel Reza and Falyn Rainwater each chipped in an RBI single. Kelli Cox and Mikayla Eden each went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

This weekend, the Lady Dillos traveled to the Glen Rose tournament. We faced many great teams and got very valuable experience. Most teams we faced were 3A schools. Thursday we lost to Lake Worth 13-1 and Glen Rose 10-6. On Friday we lost to Mart 12-2 and Mineral Wells 17-5. On Saturday we lost to Tolar 15-7 and Glen Rose 12-9. Experience was definitely gained during this tournament. We ended up 0 for 6 but there were definitely a few standouts for the Lady Dillos.

Bianca Dawson went 8 for 18 in the tournament with 3 RBI’s. Candace Saldivar went 9-18 in the tournament with 5 RBI’s. Nickie Ortiz went 11-15 in the tournament with 5 RBI’s.
