Law Enforcement officers bring down drug operation
Thursday, March 3, 2011 • Posted March 3, 2011

On February 22nd, 2011, The San Saba County Sheriff's Office received information about a wanted person located inside a residence in San Saba. The Sheriff's Office has also received numerous complaints in reference to suspected drug activities occurring at that location. After receiving information, San Saba County Sheriff L.A. Brown, assisted by Sgt. Wilkerson, Deputy James Barrows, San Saba Police Officers, Joe Dominguez and Jimmy Hill, went to the residence and began an investigation into both of the offenses reported.

This investigation led to a search warrant being obtained and that search yielded the discovery of multiple marijuana plants, packaged marijuana and supplies used to distribute the drug on our streets. In addition to this, evidence was found indicating possible methamphetamine production equipment.

Two subjects were booked into the county jail for Felony possession of marijuana.

Sheriff Brown hopes this sends a message to those in our community taking part in the illegal drug trade and hopes this message is loud and clear, "We listen to our citizen's complaints and will not stop our diligent efforts to keep our community safe."

In addition to this comment, Sheriff Brown would like to take this opportunity to thank the San Saba Police Department for their assistance.
