On Saturday night San Saba County deputies and San Saba City Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit on FM 1030 - Wallace Creek Road. A pickup truck driven by Fidencio Raul Botello attempted to flee from Sheriff Brown when Brown attempted to stop the vehicle.

The pursuit started around Wallace Creek cemetery and then went onto FM 1030. San Saba Deputy Sheriff James Barrows and San Saba City Police Officer Jimmy Hill responded to assist with the pursuit.

The vehicle was traveling at speeds exceeding 90 miles per hour when the driver, Botello lost control and laid the vehicle over on its side.

San Saba County EMS was called to the scene and the passenger was released uninjured but the suspect, Botello was transported to Llano ER. The accident is being investigated by Deputy Barrows. Sheriff Brown stated that the driver faces felony evading charges and driving while intoxicated.
