This Friday night, February 18 at 7:30 p.m.and Saturday, February 19 at 4:00 and 7:30 the Llano Band Boosters will present The Green Hornet at the LanTex Theater.

Back in the days when there was no TV, ears were glued to the radio, where serials such as The Lone Ranger, and The Shadow, along with the Green Hornet kept listeners awaiting the next episode of these crime fighting heros. Most of them later emerged as TV series. Our present movie, The Green Hornet was responsible for launching the career of Bruce Lee’s who starred as the side kick Kato.

Fast forward to today and the Green Hornet has emerged as a movie, starring Seth Rogan as the Hornet and Jay Chau as Kato. Seth plays the role of Britt Rogan who finds his true calling after his stern father, publisher of the Daily Sentinel dies. He partners with a former employee of the family’s estate, where they don masks and fight city’s underworld boss, Benjamin Chudnofsky.
