Endurance and Gentleness
Thursday, February 17, 2011 • Posted February 17, 2011

1 Timothy 6:11-12: "… pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."

Endurance and gentleness are two unique words. Endurance is the ability to last, continue, and remain true to God. It carries with it the ability to remain strong even in hardship or persecution.

Gentleness carries the concept of easily handled, tame, kindness, serene, patient and is not violent, harsh or rough.

The gospel must not be taught with harshness, but with the tender compassion. God wants you to be His child for eternity! Seek the Lord while He may be found. Come to church.
