Presidential candidate John Davis visits San Saba

Presidential candidate John Davis visited San Saba on Tuesday, February 1, coming in on not a wing and a prayer, but on a flat tire and a prayer. The weather was blistery and cold; however, he received a warm welcome from the small group anxious to meet him.

Traveling with John was his wife, Debra; son, Garrett and his friends, Skyler Willard and Owen Watson. San Saba is their 130th county stop since starting a "Votercade" to visit every county in the USA on January 10th. John carried a large red, white and blue wrench and exclaimed - "let’s fix America." He is pictured with the wrench on the back of his bus and the scripture, II Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." These statements explain why he is Pro God, Pro family and Pro USA.

Some of the topics discussed were: foreign aid, overwhelming debt, the Internal Revenue System, the oil industry, unnecessary regulations by OSHA and EPA, around 46% of our people are "living off the government" that includes welfare and government workers, regulations has hurt the housing industry in the last two years, some of the media are giving misleading information, President Obama’s Healthcare Bill, the need for improved border control to keep out the guns, drugs, and aliens from coming across from Mexico; and the concern that the USA is ranked 17th in the country in Education.

John is a hard-working common man, and owner of a Housing industry business in Grand Junction, CO. He is not a politician or a millionaire; however, he believes he can make a difference by bringing honor, integrity, accountability, common sense, passion, and truth to our nation’s leadership. John agrees with the Florida Judge’s decision that the Healthcare Bill is unconstitutional.

The local tire company in San Saba did not have the tire they needed, so they planned to stop and get the tires changed around so they could get to the next county. One flat tire will not stop him from driving all the way to The White House. The old saying, "evil abounds when good men do nothing" is truer today than it ever has been.
