Old Man Winter really paid us a visit this past week and just about overstayed his welcome, but watch out, he left, but will return this week for another Winter blast. Last week some people had frozen water lines and just got them thawed out in time for the next big freeze. Livestock watering troughs were frozen and ice had to be broken in order for animals to get a drink. We are still luckier than some who had snow and ice all week long in parts of Texas. There is always something we can be thankful for. It is just awfully hard to find it at times. The little bit of snow and sleet received did put some more moisture in the ground, for that we can be thankful.

The cold last Tuesday didn’t interfere with the peoples who met at the Bend to play games as there were eleven brave souls who braved the cold to meet at the Community Center and enjoy dominoes and cards. If you have nothing to do on Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. come and play games, everyone is welcome.
