A Biblical Gem

Continued from last week.

*** Then the astronauts and scientist said, there is our missing day. They checked the computers going back into the time the Bible was written and found it was close, but not close enough. The elapsed time that would be missing back in Joshua's day would have been a day of only 23 hours and 20 minutes and not a whole day like now. They all read the bible and discussed it and decided it was approximately a day.

But little words in the Bible are important and they were still in trouble because they could not account for 40 minutes. The scientists decided if they could not account for the 40 minutes they were still in trouble. They said the 40 minutes were important because they would be multiplied many times in the orbits. They were still in trouble, but the Christian employee got his Bible and searched in it. He said I remember something else, somewhere in the bible I read where the sun went backwards for a time. The scientists said don't ask us to believe that, it is probably your imagination but he discovered in 2 Kings where Hezekiah was on his death bed and was visited by the great prophet Isaiah who told him he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked if he had a sign that he was not going to die. Isaiah said for proof; do you want the sun to advance 10 degrees? Hezekiah said it is nothing for the sun to go forward for 10 degrees, but let the sun and shadows go backwards for 10 degrees. Then Isaiah prayed to the Lord and God brought the shadows and the sun backwards for 10 degrees. Now 10 degrees is still exactly forty minutes. So 23 hours and 29 minutes in Joshua and plus the 40 minutes found in 2 Kings made the missing day to be found. You can read it for yourself in Joshua 10:8-13, and Kings 29:9-11.

If God has done this to show our scientists and astronauts that He is alive and in full control, please spend some time believing what He might do for us if we just believer Him and His Word, found in your Bible.
