Rotary Club welcomes Lee Murry as newest member
Thursday, February 10, 2011 • Posted February 10, 2011

The Rotary Club of San Saba welcomes Lee Murray as our newest member. A graduate of San Saba High School and Texas A&M University, Lee and his wife Kelly reside in San Saba. Lee is an associate with City National Bank where he works in the Customer Services area.

Lee was inducted into the local Rotary Club by Past Club President, Mike Thomas at the club’s business meeting last week.

This week the club’s program will be Ross Cox as he gives an informational talk about the H. L. Hunley. The Hunley was a submarine of the Confederate States of America that played a large role in the history of naval warfare. She was the first combat submarine to sink an enemy warship and demonstrated both the advantages and the dangers of undersea warfare.

Anyone interested in Civil War history is invited to join the Rotary Club to hear this program. The Rotary Club of San Saba meets each Thursday at noon at Pepperbellys. If you have an interest in better serving our community, please speak to a Rotarian about joining.
