Madison Miles receives ASU Honors

Madison Miles, daughter of Mike and Cathi Miles, was named to the Angelo State University Dean’s List for the 2010 Fall Semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must be enrolled fulltime at ASU and must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Also, Madison was nominated to join Kappa Delta Pi. She accepted the invitation and in November, 2010, was inducted into the organization.

In addition to the above honors, Madison will serve as an Ambassador to the Special Education Department for Angelo State University for the Spring 2011 Semester. Richard Evans, Ph.D, nominated Madison for this position.

Dr. Evans, began his career at Angelo State University in May 2008. Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science and Master in Education with a Mid Management certification from Angelo State University and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in Special Education leadership and change. He is a Texas Master Reading Teacher and he is certified to be an administrator. Dr. Evans is a native Texan and his hometown is Brady, Texas.

Madison is currently completing her student teaching assignment in San Angelo, at Santa Rita Elementary School. She will graduate with honors in May, 2011, as a certified Special Education Teacher.
