San Saba County 4-H Shooting Sports Project recruiting new members

The San Saba County 4-H is recruiting new members for their spring 4-H Shooting Sports Project. The project will begin with the Hunter’s Safety class on Sunday February 6th, 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Civic Center. Deadline to register for the class must be done by Friday February 4th at 5 p.m. to the Texas AgriLife San Saba Office at 372-5416. The class costs $15.00. Carolyn McDowell, San Saba County FCS agent can assist interested youth in completing the necessary quizzes and paperwork for completing the hunter ed class.

Following the safety class, participants will meet on Saturday morning’s at the Kirk Ranch on Highway 16 South from February 12th to April 2nd to improve their shooting skills.

Participating in the Texas 4-H Shooting Sports Extravaganza Contest, held at the State 4-H Center on Lake Brownwood on April 9th will complete the project.
