Last Friday ended the 3

The Lady Coyotes are 2-5 in district play. The varsity boys are 5-1 in district play.

The boys are now in a 3-way tie for first place in the district race, and are ranked 16rd week of the 4th six-week grading period. Student notices of concern will be mailed this week. School picture retakes and basketball pictures will be Thursday, January 27. Picture packets are available in the high school office.th in the state by the Texas Basketball Coaches Association. Both varsity teams played Rochelle at Rochelle on Tuesday. The Coyotes will host Menard at Richland Springs gym on Friday, January 28 at 6:30. The junior high teams play every Monday beginning at 6 p.m. Come to the games and watch our young athletes.

As the hours of daylight increase, this means that spring sports are on the horizon. The tennis teams under the direction of Coach Sue Ransom have begun practice for upcoming tennis meets. You seem to have some warm days for practice, but the first tennis and track meets always seems to be cold days with blustery winds. Spring also brings high school academic meets and travel for UIL One Act Play and other academic competitions. UIL athletics and UIL academics both play an important role for students. Students must pass all classes to be eligible to compete in either UIL athletic events or UIL academic events.
