When God created the heavens and the earth, He also created living life forms and mankind was at the top, ( Genesis 1:1, 20-22, 24-25, 26-31). God made the earth, the sky, the air, the water, the plants, and the animals for mankind to enjoy. But one of the greatest gifts was the ability for each to reproduce after its kind. To have babies or young was God’s plan and He called it good. Life, especially human life is very special or sacred to God and to take a persons life intentionally was a very serious offense in God’s eyes. He demanded that the killer’s life be taken, (Deuteronomy 19:11-13). Many groups and Churches are holding January 2011, as a special month and acknowledging that life is special or sacred. They call it the, "Sanctity of Life" month. Many today are calling us a dying nation or a "Death Cult" because of our low regard of life. From 1973 to 2008 there were almost 50 million documented abortions in the United States. Over 2/3 of these were from unmarried women. Has our nation drifted this far from God? Many of our politicians are literally obsessed with supporting and helping this, "Blood Cult". God warned His people about child sacrifice and there was a severe penalty for it, individually and as a nation, (Leviticus 20:1-5, Deuteronomy 12:31, Psalm 106:38-41, Proverbs 6:16-19).
