We are pleased to announce that the Mobile Food Pantry is moving to a new location! Beginning on January 26, 2011 Capital Area Food Bank of Texas will be distributing food at the San Saba Civic Center located at Mill Pond Park – 1190 South Thomas Dr., San Saba, Texas 76877. Food distribution will be held on the second & fourth Wednesdays of every month from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (noon).

Not only does this free service provide healthy food for your family, such as meat, beans, canned vegetables, soup, cereal, potatoes, canned fruit, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, and a variety of other nutritious foods, assistance to apply for Food Stamps is also available.

If you would like to be a volunteer come to the Civic Center around 9:30 a.m. on distribution days. Donations can be made payable to the San Saba County’s Ministerial Alliance, P.O. Box 636, San Saba, Texas 76877. Proceeds go to providing food to San Saba County residents. Your support is much needed and greatly appreciated.
