Clarence Charles Wiedenfeld

Mr. Clarence Charles Wiedenfeld died at home in Kerrville, TX on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 83 years. He was born November 24, 1927,at Comfort, TX, the son of Robert Wiedenfeld and Katie Pfeiffer Wiedenfeld and married Iris Burleson on June 8, 1954, in Lampasas, TX. He graduated from Comfort High School in 1945 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the occupation of Japan. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949 and worked as a Soil Scientist for the USDA Soil Conservation Service until his retirement in 1992. His first duty station was in San Saba.

Services were held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Kerrville at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Herman and Egon Wiedenfeld.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Wiedenfeld of Kerrville; two sons and their spouses and four grandchildren: David and Melissa Wiedenfeld of Warrenton, VA, and their children, Amy & Mark; Karl and Lucy Wiedenfeld of Houston, TX and their children, Theodore & Julia. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sue Wiedenfeld of Comfort, TX.
