Elm Grove Echoes
Thursday, January 6, 2011 • Posted January 6, 2011

We are now into a brand new year. We are experiencing some cooler temperatures but no rain to speak of.

We enjoyed a very quiet New Year’s Eve here at our house. I have found that it comes right on in whether I am awake or not. I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year.

Kicking off the new month will be the 42 tournament at Elm Grove on the 8th. The Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 11th. The community meeting will be January 15th and new officers for the coming year will be elected. Please make every effort to attend the community meeting. There are fewer and fewer of us attending and we really urge our local folks to help us keep our community active as it takes all us of to preserve the old school house, etc.

Marla Cummings and Georgia Tucker were weekend guests of ours. Jaxon and Jesse Tucker came and joined Georgia here on Monday while their Mom, Amy Tucker, had a teacher’s work day at Brady Elementary. I heard a little bit of grumbling about going back to school.

Marilyn Suber is finishing her therapy this week and plans to be back at work full time. She appreciates everyone being patient with her irregular schedule for the past few weeks.
