AMOS 4:6-12 "I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities. And lack of bread in all your places; yet you have not returned to Me, said the Lord. I also withheld rain from you, when there was three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, but I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, and where it did not rain that part withered. So two or three cities wandered unto another city to drink water. But they were not satisfied; yet they returned not to Me, says the Lord. I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, your vineyards, your fig trees, and your olive trees; the locusts devoured them: yet you returned not unto Me, said the Lord. I sent among you a plague; your young men I killed with the swords, along with your captive horses. I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; yet you have not returned unto Me, said the Lord. I overthrew some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a fire brand plucked from the burning; yet you have not returned unto Me, said the Lord. Therefore I will do unto thee, O, Israel; and because I will do this unto thee; "Prepare to meet thy God."
Please pause right here and reread this long text that I chose for a good reason, and take enough time to study it closely until you realize it is a direct message from God to His faithful prophet, Amos. There were no Angel carriers between God and His prophets in the Old Testament. God gave His messages directly to His prophets throughout the Old Testament times. And now, from this point there will be two ways this message will be accepted by the people living the flesh today. Some will feel God was mean to cause all the troubles as mentioned in the text; while others will be wide enough to see it was given from pure Godly love. You should see that God was hurting because the people He loved has turned from his ways and He was trying to awaken them to return so He could again give His blessings to them. I believe God's message to America and the entire world today would be the same as He gave to Amos. If we sin enough to anger God, He can surely again do what He did to those sinful people. Now, a book could be written to show the sins of worldly people in our time, but space will not permit. If I could make it lengthy like I should, it will not see print. But I believe we are living in darkness if we cannot see many of the things God warned are happening now. The droughts, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, and open warfare against God's ways are not normal and no solutions for them is ever found. God has always had to endure undeserved criticism, even though He gave in love, it is a truth that God wants to bless. Will we return to Him? Or will we experience the greatly feared tribulation as warned in Matthew 24:21, "For then shall be great tribulation, such as not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." The Antichrist will cause this to be the most dreaded event earthly people will ever have to endure and millions will be killed. How close do you think we may be from this? Are we preparing to meet God? There is scripture in more than one place to show where God brought evil nations against His own people and punished them without mercy because they would not repent and return to Him. What do you think we will do? Will we prepare to meet God and return unto Him?
