Murder suspect arrested in San Saba County

On Christmas Eve, San Saba County Law Enforcement Personnel were notified of a possible homicide suspect, here in San Saba County. Law Enforcement Officers from the Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife and the San Saba City Police Department, responded and began to search for Bryan Keith Crum of Ingram, Texas. Crum was located in the Cherokee area and was stopped on traffic. A short standoff occurred with the suspect, but he did surrender without incident to law enforcement at the scene.

The suspect was transported to the San Saba County Jail where he was booked in on local charges and was later charged with Murder.

Sheriff Brown stated that "this was an excellent example of all of our local and out of county agencies working closely together and taking a potentially deadly situation and bringing it to a close without further violence."

The crime was committed in Kerr County and their investigators are still handling that end of the case. The suspect remains in jail pending bond and trial and is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
