GED Test scheduled for January 11 and 12
Thursday, December 23, 2010 • Posted December 23, 2010

The next GED Test at Gatesville High School will be given January 11 and 12, 2011.

Individuals wishing to take the test must complete registration some time between 5 and 7 p.m. on January 5. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to an hour when registering. You need to bring with you a current state or federal photo ID, Social Security Card, and $65 fee for the test. Registration will be held in room 22 of Gatesville High School. You need to come to the back of the building to get to this room easily.

Before you register, you must go on-line to www.utk16.org/scoring and fill out a demographic form.

If you have failed the test in 2002 through 2010 and need to retest one or more parts, each part costs $10 and it must have been six months since you took the test or have been to GED classes and have a letter from the instructor saying you are ready to retest. You need to bring a copy of the previous test scores if you have tested before. If you are under 18, there are other qualifications also.

Please encourage anyone you know that needs to complete their education to find out about the test and pass this information on to them.

Again, the GED Test will be administered Tuesday, January 11 and Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Room 22 at Gatesville High School at 5:15 p.m. Please report by 5:15 for testing and be sure to bring original cards, license, and registration receipt at this time.
