Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

There was a ship ice-locked in Lake Erie. Though the captain of the vessel no doubt had made every effort to run ahead of the freezing waters, they eventually had encompassed his ship and immobilized it. Now he will have to wait for warmer weather or an ice-cutting ship to free him from his predicament.

Many people can identify with that ice-bound ship because that is exactly how they feel about their lives. For one reason or another, they have been trapped in a web of problems that has left them imprisoned or so they think.

If you feel like an ice-locked ship, turn to the Captain who knows how to reach the free-flowing waters of life. He will rescue, He will save.
