HEBREWS 11:6
"But without faith it is impossible to please God"
More can be found concerrning faith than any other topic in the Bible. It is so emphasized it cannot escape the attention of any reader. Faith is very important, but it will become all the more important if the reader has a desire to please God. It may surprise many to know evey soul born into this life starts it with exactly the same amount of faith. (ROMANS 12:3 "I say through the faith given unto me, to every man that is among you, to not think of himself more highly than he ought; but to think soberly according as God has delt to every man (the) measure of faith)"That little word, the, should be underlined in every Bible. It implies that God has given every man a designated and equal amount of faith. However it is notable some have more faith than others, but it is easily explained. By study and exercise some have consistently added to their faith and it has grown, while others add nothing to their faith and they loose it.Jesus was describing faith when He said, (Luke 8:18 "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given: and whosoever hath not, shall be taken that which he seemeth to have.)" At this point, if you agree faith is necessary to please God; you should have a vital concern to nourish and strengthen your faith with exercise and study until you feel it is stronger.
I have wanted to write about faith in my Biblical Gems for quite a while, but chose not to do so due to limited space to give it justice. (1) No faith (Deut. 3:20 "I will hide my face from them, for they are children in whom is no faith)" (2) Little faith. (Matthew 6:30 "O ye of little faith.") (3) Great faith (Matthew 8:10 "I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.") (4) Healing faith (Acts 14:9 "I perceived he had faith to be healed") (5) Healing faith. (Matthew 9:29 "According to your faith, be unto you." ) (6)Prayer faith (James 5:15 "And the prayer of faith shall heal the sick.") (7) Justifying faith (Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.") (8) Measured faith (Matthew 17:20 "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove. Nothing shall be impossible for you.) (9) Vain faith (1 Corinthians 15:14 "If Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.") (10) Increasing faith. 2 Corinthians 10:15 "Hoping when your faith is increased, that ye shall be enlarged.") (11) Shipwrecked faith (1 Timothy 1:19 "Holding faith with a good conscience which some have put away concerning faith; and have made shipwreck.") (12) Bold faith (1 Timothy 3:13 "They that have used the office of a deacon will purchase to themselves a good degree and a great boldness in the faith that is in Jesus Christ.") (13) Unfeigned faith (2 Timothy 1:5 "I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee.") (14) Unwavering faith (James 1:6 "Let him ask in faith; nothing wavering." (15) Rich faith (James 2:5 "Hearken, my beloved brothers; Hath God not chosen the poor of this world, but rich in faith?") (16) Working faith (James 2:18 "I can show you my faith by my works.") (17) Dead faith (James 2:20 "But wilt thou know oh vain man, that faith without works is dead.") (18) Strong faith (Romans 4:20 "Abraham staggered not at the promise of God, but was strong in faith.") (19) Most Holy faith (Jude 20 "But you beloved building up yourselves on your most Holy faith, by praying in the Holy Ghost.") Faith of God's elect (20) Titus 1:1 An apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of God's elect.") This needs a comment after each faith. Please add your own thoughts to it.
