Dora Hunt, 99, of San Saba, TX passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Eventide Nursing Home.

Dora was born on January 30, 1911 in Moshine, TX to George Washington Hunt and Alice Parks Hunt. Dora was a very well known person around the San Saba area. She was a seamstress, so therefore did alot of sewing for the people of San Saba County. Dora was a nurse’s aide for many years at the San Saba Nursing Home as well as being an Administrator for the San Saba Nursing Home. She was an Assistant Librarian at the Rylander Memorial Library in San Saba for five years. Dora was a very kind and loving person and will be greatly missed.

Dora is survived by her nieces; Glenda Sliger and her husband Don of Bangs, TX and Della Lowe and her husband Paul of Fort Worth, TX, her nephews; Ronnie Woods and his wife Nancy of Bangs, TX and William Hunt and his wife Joan of San Saba, TX; her ten great nieces and two great nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Also her very special friends; Teresa Pierce and George and Donna Hill. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Hunt and Alice Parks Hunt;one brother, Jack Hunt; three sisters, Della Kilgore, Fannie Tinney and Rosa Lee Hunt; two nephews, Johnny Woods and Jimmy Don Hunt.

A graveside service was held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the San Saba Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve Baker officiating. The family received friends at the Howell Doran Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. All memorials may be made to the Solaris Hospice.
