Gilbert "Jacob" Solis, age 18, of Brownwood passed away Monday December 6, 2010 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday December 9 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood. Interment will be private at a later date. Rosary was Wednesday December 8 at 7:30pm at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel.

Jacob was a long time resident of Brownwood and attended Brownwood High School. He loved his dogs.

Jacob is survived by his father, Mario Solis of Brownwood, TX; mother, Diana Martinez and husband Dore of Brownwood, TX; two brothers, Mario Cruz and Federico "Rico" Solis of Abilene; two step brothers, Jerod Martinez of Stephenville, TX and Joseph Martinez of Brady, TX; Paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Sofia Solis of San Angelo, TX; maternal grandparents, Federico and Irma Ruiz of Brady. He is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Corrine T Smith Animal Center.

Jacob is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Ruiz.
