Hill Country Toy Run benefits Cherokee Home for Children

For the 27

th consecutive year motorcycle enthusiasts from all over Central Texas joined together on Saturday, December 4th, for the Hill Country Toy Run benefitting the children of Cherokee Home for Children.

The holiday festivities began with the arrival of more than sixty motorcycles and a caravan of vehicles including one transporting Santa and Mrs. Claus. Gifts and Christmas stockings were handed out to the children and a check for $10,000 was presented to Danny Duggan, Executive Director of the Home.

Over the last 14 years, the Hill Country Toy Run has contributed in excess of $108,000 that has been used exclusively to purchase sports and recreation equipment, as well as vacation trips and outings for the children residing at the Home. Cherokee Home for Children is a licensed basic care residential and foster care facility for children age 2 to 18. The Home is located 13 miles south of San Saba, Texas on Highway 16.
