Richland Springs varsity Coyotes won a lopsided state semifinals victory against Milford 50-0 at Comanche last Friday. It was a relatively warm night game that proved to be an exciting game, at least for the Coyote fans. This Saturday, December 11
Girls basketball coach Pam Starr and the Lady Coyotes are off to a 4-2 start. The Lady Coyotes will play in the Cherokee Tournament this week. The varsity Lady Coyotes played Eden in the first district game at Eden on Tuesday. Come out and support our young athletes in UIL competition.
Mr. McKee has completed student entries in the major stock shows at San Antonio, San Angelo, Houston, and Fort Worth. Mr. McKee reminds all students with stock show entries to take classroom studies seriously. In order to show animals at the San Saba County show, students must be passing all classes at the end of the third six-week period which ends on December 17, 2010.
Richland Springs students in grades 2-8, and staff traveled to Brookesmith this past Wednesday to compete in UIL academic contests. Nelson Smith, UIL academic coordinator, hopes to win first place at the competition.
The community Christmas play Best Christmas Pagent Ever was performed last Sunday to a standing-room only crowd in the cafetorium. Everyone enjoyed the performance. Thanks to all who contributed their time and talents.

Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. The community pep rally for this week’s game will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Richland Springs gym. Come cheer the Coyote team on to victory!!th, Thursday, December 16th, and Friday, December 17th. Students are encouraged to be at school during semester exams in order to avoid receiving incomplete grades for the 1st semester. Students have an early out at 12:55 on December 17, 2010, and classes resume for students on January 4, 2011.
