‘Tis the season to be THANKFUL….What are we thankful for here at SSISD? We are thankful for a School Board of Trustees that provides for our students and staff and has the success of students at the core of their beliefs! THANKS School Board for being behind us all the way! As well, we are thankful for a community that is supportive of their school, school programs and embrace the activities in which we participate. As I looked up in the stands at the Pflugerville stadium Friday night, I was proud of how well we travel. I was glad that people came out to support the staff and students who have worked so very hard not only on the field but also worked hard in the classroom to remain eligible to participate. It speaks volumes to the opponents we meet and to the schools who host our events when they see the purple and the gold pour into the stadium. THANKS fans for supporting our ‘Dillos! On Friday’s when the local Rotary Club displays the ‘Dillo flag, I know we live in a community that values the school system. So, from the kiddos and the staff who you support all year long, know that we are all appreciative of your support through your participation in our events and in your contributions to us financially. I also have to thank the men from the City who helped set up for the two downtown pep rallies! These were two great events that brought our community together to celebrate a common goal! These gentlemen worked one day on their holiday and then again worked after hours on another to provide us with a GREAT set up for the pep rally. I would try to name them all, but I am afraid I would leave someone out. Thanks to Tony Guidroz for organizing the events. There are always so many people behind the scenes that do things to help us, and we feel blessed to have that support! Happy Thanksgiving to you all and have a blessed and safe holiday! See you back at school on Monday, November 29..the fall semester is just about over! Gobble, Gobble!
