Wallace Creek EE Club Meeting

The Wallace Creek Extension Education Club met Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the San Saba County Museum.

Lynn Blankenship called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered to "What is your favorite pie?" The minutes were read by Doris Cates. The treasurer's report was given. There was no council report. The Wallace Creek Annual Thanksgiving Supper was a big success with 48 in attendance, plenty of good food and fellowship as well as good music. The Pecan Food Show was discussed. It will be held December 3 at the courthouse. Each San Saba County EE Club is to furnish two baskets for the judges for the contest. The rules for the Pecan Food Show will be in the San Saba News and Star as well as at the courthouse Extension Office.

The drawing for the Wallace Creek Club afghan raffle will be on Saturday, December 4 at the Pecan Trade Days on the square. Tickets my be purchased until the drawing.

Imogene Hawkins volunteered to host the January meeting at her home.

Noma Fitzgerald and Margie Osborn served refreshments to Lynn Blanken-ship, Doris Cates, and Imogene Hawkins.

The meeting was adjourned.

The Blankenships gave the group a guided tour of the museum and told of construction taking place around the outside of the building.

There will not be a December meeting. Everyone was urged to participate in the Pecan Food Show on December 3, 2010 at the courthouse.
