Revelation 20:2 "And he laid hold on the old dragon, that old serpent which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years."

Many are confused and troubled concerning the millennium as described in Revelation. Jesus taught His elect it will happen just after the terrible tribulation that Satan, as Antichrist had forced upon people during his short rein. He taught it will be a time of perfect peace just like a Sabbath wherein Jesus will be in full control, but He will rule with a rod of iron and all who had been arrogant and defiant in this flesh life will be disciplined. It will take that thousand years to bring all to a full knowledge of truth and understanding, despite the fact there will be nothing that can tempt, corrupt, or deceive. It will indeed be a beautiful existence made possible because Satan and all his evil workers will be chained in the bottomless pit; and cannot again tempt, trouble, nor put evil thoughts in people's minds like it happened on earth. But after all have been disciplined, taught, and brought unto perfect understanding of truth; Satan will be released for a short period of time. Look at the great message where Jesus taught why.

For eons and eons of time God enjoyed a perfect Heaven where all His created spirits worshiped Him in perfect harmony, reverence, and praise. Everything and every spirit God created was given free will to make their own decisions, and He will never violate nor change that right. But Satan had the power to deceive many of God's angels who rebelled against Him. God was too wise to permit that to happen again; so Satan will be loosed for a short time to once again offer false promises to look beautiful and appealing, but will only be lies. It is sad to know that even after those angels lived in the thousand years and had been taught the truth of God's total plan, some still will yearn for the false promises Satan will offer and will not return to God. They will have to be destroyed in the lake of fire with Satan because of their foolish choice: while the faithful and just who overcame will receive their great awards. These were those who refused to deny Jesus and worship the Antichrist and were beheaded in the tribulation. None can be more faithful than those.
