Oliver signs letter of intent to play at Angelo State University

Haylee Oliver, a San Saba High School Senior, signed her letter of Intent to play basketball for the Angelo State University Ram-belles on November 10, 2010 at Armadillo Arena.

Haylee started going to Coach Sally Brooks’ Heart of Texas basketball camp when she was 8 years old. She attended the camp 10 straight years and must have caught Coach Brooks’ eye because she was offered a full scholarship in July 2010. Haylee verbally committed then, but was unable to officially sign by NCAA rules until November 10, 2010.

Haylee has received numerous basketball awards including:

2010 TGCA All State Basketball Team

2010 Team MVP

2010 District Defensive MVP

2010 All Tournament Premier 64 Frisco, TX

2010 All West Texas Super Team

2009 and 2010 All Region Basketball Team

2009 All West Texas Team

2008 and 2009 Ray Long Award

2009 First Team All District

2008 New Comer of the year

During her Junior year as a Lady Dillo, she averaged:

18.4 points./game

11.9 rebounds/game

3.1 assists/game

2.9 steals/game

2.0 blocks/game

Haylee excels off the court as well. She is second in her class at this time, with a 5.02 GPA. She will graduate high school with over 50 hours of college credit. She is National Honor Society President, Student Council Vice President and Senior Class Vice President.

When asked, Haylee Oliver stated, "I am super excited to be taking the next step in my life. ASU is the perfect place for me and I can’t wait to start my collegiate career there."
