There was a large crowd for the fish fry for Marvin Foster. The food was delicious. It was nice to be able to visit with Marvin and Pat.

Bonnie Johanson recently broke her hip. Bonnie resides in San Saba Nursing Home.

David and Sabra Roberts from Plano visited with Wardell and Jane Randolph.

We would like to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jones and Little Jack to the community. Michael is the son of Jack Jones and was raised in Cherokee.

Marsha Mckneely, Jennifer, Kylar and Kase Bordner were in Corpus last Friday to watch Marsha’s nephew graduate from high school. Martha Box from Llano also attended.

There will be a Mothers-Day-Out Program at the Cherokee United Methodist Church for preschoolers this summer. If you are interested contact Susan Perry at 622-4456 or 372-1484 (cell).

DiAnne Scott, Victor, Carter, and Hunter Wisdom, Tammy and Jordan Leach, Bailey and Bethany Scott, spent the day Saturday at the Granate Beach Water Park at the Lake LBJ Marina. There are two water slides and many other fun things to do all in the water. Everyone had a great time. If you are looking for something fun to do this summer close to home this is a good choice. You can take a ice chest full of goodies and picnic right there and not have to leave the water park, or you can leave and come back, or you can buy food and drinks right there at the Grill, either way it’ll be alot of fun and not alot of money. If you want to find out about it, there is a website for it.

Danny and Janiece Duggan are in Ohio visiting their son and his family. Their son Jared is being pinned a major in the Air Force.

The youth group at the Cherokee Church of Christ spent the day Monday cleaning and doing yard for LaVoyce Sellman. LaVoyce’s son Glenn and his wife will be coming back from AbaDaba, Saudi Arabia sometime this month. They will be living in Fort Worth.

Valerie and Delton McGuire had a good visit with family members last Saturday in Allen, Texas.

Ty Crain was in visiting family Franklin and Sandra Crain and grandmother Berniece Kuykendall over the weekend. He lives in California.
