This Friday brings an end to the second six-week grading period. This means that roughly one-third of the school year has gone by. Please look for report cards next week. Make sure you see your child’s report card. Call the school at 452-3427 if you do not receive a report card. Parent involvement is a key to student success. With approximately 12 weeks behind us, and 99 class days before TAKS testing begins, we focus on preparing students for success.
The district’s bond election vote tally was 179 FOR and 190 AGAINST. The bond election failed by 11 votes. The Board of Trustees will canvas the election results at the Nov. 15
The junior high girls’ basketball team traveled to Olfen this past Monday for their first game of the year. Junior high girls’ coach is Candi Lewis. Coach Lewis praises the jh girls for their conditioning efforts. The jh girls will play again next Monday, November 15 at Coyote gym at 6:00. The varsity Lady Coyotes played their first game at Brookesmith this past Tuesday. The Lady Coyotes will play at Richland Springs on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Come out and watch our young athletes in action; you won’t be disappointed!

The District 16 champion and runner-up were not decided until last Friday night when Calvert beat Buckholts 46-0. Richland Springs will play the Buckholts Badgers.
