San Saba EDC explains reason for Resolution
Thursday, November 11, 2010 • Posted November 11, 2010

Last week, there was an article published in the San Saba News and Star with the by line: "SS EDC approves resolution supporting Sheriff’s Department investigation". The San Saba Economic Development Corporation wishes to clarify the information leading to the support of an investigation. First, there is presently no investigation of the Sheriff’s Office. The San Saba EDC is responding to multiple written statements presented to city hall by local citizens, county citizens, golfers, hunters, street dance attendees, and local and out of town business owners. All of these written statements, in one way or another, charge the Sheriff’s Office with harassment and/or official misconduct. The San Saba EDC applauds the Sheriff’s Office for the hard work that they do, each and everyday to keep us safe. If these written statements show no merit, then there is nothing to fear. The San Saba EDC’s mission is to create jobs and wealth for our community, business retention and expansion efforts, marketing of our city to increase tourism, and to work toward creating a higher "quality of life" for the citizens of the City of San Saba. This information will be presented to the San Saba City Council on Monday November 15, 2010 at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at 303 South Clear Street. As always, local business owners and the general public are invited to attend.
