Richland Springs Junior High falls to Mullin 32-24
Thursday, November 4, 2010 • Posted November 4, 2010

The Junior Coyotes put up a good fight last Thursday in Mullin, only to see their last drive, with just a couple of minutes left, fall just a little short. After falling behind 32-18 in the second half, it was looking a little dismal, until a powerful run by Storm Teel for 6 points set up an onside kick attempt which was snared by Jacob Cohn. The Coyotes got close but had to turn the ball over on downs with under two minutes left in the game. The Bulldogs then just ran out the clock to end the game.

The Bulldogs had three players that were definitely future customers of Billy Bob’s Big and Tall Menswear and were a problem all night for the Coyote Pack. Storm Teel, ducking and dodging all evening, had a touchdown run and a touchdown pass. Jacob Cohn broke free for two long runs for scores, making his total 23 touchdowns on the season. Anthony Holt had a great catch and run for a td. Brandon Ferguson had a critical catch for a first down to set up Teel’s run. Jeremy Martin again handling the long snapping duties perfectly and had some good defensive plays. Peyton Sloan and Tarrin Ballin helped gang tackle the plus-sized Bulldog runners.

The loss put the Junior High Boys record at 6-3 for the season. They finished the season with only two eighth graders and no seventh grade athletes. Congratulations to the Junior High Coyotes for a good winning season!!!
