Drug Free Week in San Saba County
Thursday, November 4, 2010 • Posted November 4, 2010

The Sheriff's Office this week had an excellent week working with teachers, staff and students all across the county. We put on multiple programs in Cherokee, San Saba and Richland Springs this week and enjoyed each minute of it. This Last week was National Red Ribbon Week across our great nation and we took the opportunity to spread the word across the county and that word this year was Choices and Consequences.

I have had the privilege to work with the students in this county for almost thirteen years now and have covered drug and alcohol abuse with them each year. We tried to focus this year on, not only the education of drugs and alcohol, but the choices that we each make and the consequences that go with them. I was very proud of the staff with the Sheriff's Office, who really turned out this year to not only help, but got very involved with the program.

Once again we want to thank all the administrators and teachers for allowing us to share their valuable time with the students and look forward to becoming even more involved with each school.
