Elm Grove Echoes
Thursday, November 4, 2010 • Posted November 4, 2010

I wish we had some rain to talk about, but it has been over a month for us. They got a pretty good rain out at Elm Grove last week. Maybe we will soon. It is to get quite a bit cooler in the next few days.

Marilyn Suber wants to let her customers know that she will be having knee replacement surgery on Friday, November 19th. Hair It Is will be closed for a few weeks but she plans to work right up until then, so give her a call if you are needing a perm or haircut before then.

The Coyotes defeated the Mullin Bulldogs by a score of 66-0 by the half last Friday night making them undefeated this season. They will be open this Friday night then advance to the playoffs taking on either Buckholts or Calvert.

We are starting another new month already. The 42 tournament will be at Shiloh on the 13th. Busy Bee quilters will meet on the 9th and will work on a quilt for the RS VFD. The community meeting will be on November 20th and plans will be made for the Christmas party. Valerie Gossett and Jolynn Tharp are to be the hostesses for the community meeting.

Remember to "Fall Back" and set your clocks Saturday night.

We had a lot of trick or treaters last Saturday night. The kids were decked out in all kinds of costumes and they were so cute. We even had a "cereal" killer call on us!

Bethany Suber hosted a combination Halloween and anniversary party for Michael and Marilyn who had celebrated their 25th anniversary on the 19th. About twenty friends, neighbors and family members gathered here and we all enjoyed a cook out topped off with a pretty cake. Some of the group then took in the spook house in the park and went trick or treating while the rest of us stayed home and watched the Rangers game. I am disappointed that they didn’t win the World Series but still proud of them for getting that far.
