San Saba County C of C considers resolution supporting City inquiry into Sheriff’s Department

(Editor's Note: San Saba County Chamber of Commerce President Marcia Dyer very graciously provided the following information to San Saba News & Star Reporter Alice Smith in a telephone conservation.)

The San Saba County Chamber of Commerce met in a regular meeting Monday, November 1st. Visitors to the meeting requested that the Chamber of Commerce discuss and consider signing the following resolution:

Resolution that the San Saba City Council request that the San Saba County Sheriff’s Department be investigated for official misconduct.

Visitors making comments and requesting the resolution were: City Manager Stan Weik; City Tourism/Development Director Tony Guidroz, Rick and Sandra Baskin, Reagan Burnham, and Jimmy Don Edmondson.

The following eleven of the fourteen Chamber of Commerce Board members attended the meeting: Marcia Dyer, T. Noel Wood, Cynthia Weatherby, Rusty Glover, Skeebo Norris, Dora Miller, Donnie Smith, Barbara Hardy, Marian Deans, Ricky McKinnerney, and Lewann Turner.

The Chamber Board declared an Executive Session to discuss and make a decision about the Resolution. President Dyer will submit the decision of the request to the San Saba News & Star when it is available. At press time (Tuesday afternoon) the decision was not available for publication.)
