The senior year in high school always seems to fly by quickly. Our 2011 seniors were recognized at the last home football game on October 21st. Senior students are Brooke Bennett, Ember Burns, Stephen Fowler, Tommy Hollon, Taylor Jones, Krista Maultsby, Brennen McGinty, Neal McMillan, Emily Smith, Franky Soto, Stephen Soto-Thornhill, Elbert Thomas, Bryan Torres, and Kiya Wood. The RS Football Sweetheart and Football Beau were also announced at last week’s game. Football Sweetheart is Emily Smith and Football Beau is Chance Bush.

Football action continues this week for all three teams. The junior high Coyotes will travel to Mullin on Thursday to play the Mullin junior high. The junior varsity Coyotes will also travel to Mullin on Thursday to play the Jonesboro junior varsity. The varsity Coyotes will travel to Mullin on Friday for the last district game. The Coyotes can wrap up another District Championship with a win over the Mullin Bulldogs. District play continues the week of November 5

The Richland Springs Independent School District has received a superior achievement rating for the 2008-2009 school year on School FIRST, or Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.

Thanks to all who made our Open House a success. It was nice to see all the parents visiting with teachers about their children. Parent involvement is a key to student success.

th, but Richland Springs has a bye and is open the last week of district play. Come out and support the cheerleaders and the student athletes at the games; you won’t be disappointed!
