Wallace Creek Held EE Club Meeting

The Wallace Creek Extension Education Club met Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the club house.

The business meeting was conducted. Plans were made for our projects for November.

November 2, Tuesday, will be the Health Fair at the Civic Center, also the day to Vote.

November 6, Saturday, will be the Pecan Trade days at the courthouse square, come by and see the afghan to be raffled. This money will be used to upkeep the historical Wallace Creek School House, the club uses as their meeting place and entertain the people of our county.

November 13, Saturday, the Wallace Creek EE Club and the Boy Scouts will have a sausage wrap meal deal from 11a.m. until 2p.m. on the Super S parking lot. You willl have the sausage wrap, bag of chips, drink and homemade dessert for $5. There will be a bake sale.

November 15, Monday, will be the annual Thanksgiving Supper at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join in the good food and fellowship.

December 3, Friday, will be the San Saba County Pecan Food Show. Get out your favorite pecan recipes and plan to enter. The divisions will be open to club members, nonmembers and the youth. Details will be found later in the San Saba News and Star, or at the extension office in the courthouse.

Margie Osborn gave the program on knitting. She had several items she had made for her new grand-daughter and some other items she was working on. She also brought some heirloom items from her cedar chest. She insturcted the group on using the loom to knit. Several others had projects they were working on to show.

The meeting was adjourned.

Jackie Doner served refreshment. Those present were Lynn Blankenship, Doris Cates, Noma Fitzgerald, Imogene Hawkins, Marilyn Miller and Margie Osborn.
