Be careful where you walk
Thursday, October 28, 2010 • Posted October 28, 2010

It was late and dark when we got home and we had groceries to unload. My wife started for the front door but I told her to wait until I could shine some light on the sidewalk. She said, "that’s ok I can see where I am going" about that time a big rattle snake that had been stretched out on the sidewalk tried to coil and strike her. Thank goodness she still has good reactions because as she jumped to one side, he struck at her but missed. Needless to say there is one less rattlesnake in this world. I recently purchased a light that will come on when we get out of the car. That incident reminds me of something in the Bible. Evil is everywhere in this world, (1 John 5:19) and Christians have to be very careful where they go and what they do. Satan and his helpers want to strike us and hurt us, (2 timothy 3:13). If we are not careful we will get, (snake bit) evil bit and it may be extremely difficult to recover. Who we hang out with can help or hinder depending on what kind of person they are, (1 Corinthians 15:33, 2 John 7-10). Carry a flashlight, (God’s word, the Bible) for going about and in the dark, (Psalm 119:105, 2 Timothy 3:14-17). Remember, Jesus is the Light, (John 8:12) See you in Church next Sunday. Brother J
