The tenth chapter of Luke contains several outstanding messages in your Bible concerning service and acceptance of Christ in your spiritual life. Jesus chose 70 men and sent them out into the world to serve HIM. They came back with joy proclaiming how the evil spirits were subject to them in CHRIST'S name, and how they could heal all the sick and show Jesus as Savior. Then in the 21st verse Jesus rejoiced in Spirit and said, "I thank THEE, O FATHER, LORD of heaven and earth, that THOU hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes." Jesus did not send out preachers and teachers, but just babes in Christ. Do you see a message in that as you should? The sinful people of Jesus's time did not harm or bother JESUS. HE came to call them to repentance and save their souls. Do you fully realize it was the preachers, teachers, and religious leaders that hated Jesus enough to cry out crucify HIM, kill HIM? Jesus came doing GOD'S will that they were supposed to be doing. JESUS could and they couldn't: therefore they were so jealous of JESUS, it grew into hatred against HIM. Do you believe there may be preachers of great reputation today that are making the same mistake? Their time and efforts are unconsciously letting imagination creep into their understanding and teaching. They may think they are exactly right just like the preachers Jesus was criticizing; and the criticism from jesus may be the same against them today. If we have accepted CHRIST as our Savior and want to respect, praise, loven and serve HIM; we must realize our service will not be accepted unless we can hide our pride and gain the help the Holy Spirit of God to lead us. The Holy Spirit is the strongest power in the world and He can over power Satan. HE can but we can't without His help. God created Satan millions of times stronger than we are are, but the Holy Spirit as the strongest thing in the world can and will overcome all of Satan's efforts to mislead and hurt us if we are wise enough to consistently ask for His help.
Look again at the 18th verse. Jesus said He beheld Satan as lightning fall from the Heaven. God will never let Satan come upon us in darkness. There will be plenty of light to recognize his temptations. He will come; do not doubt that, but if our spirit is in contact with the Holy Spirit of God, we will see and be warned and Satan cannot cause us to fall. How many Christian leaders in the world today do you believe are trusting their own strength like the religious leaders of Jesus's time? Our world is truning from GOD'S ways and walking in darkness. Could this be the reason? Spirits are not physical and cannot be seen with physical eyes; but they are real and our spirits can certainly feel them. You can feel presence of GOD's Holy Spirit; be sure you are asking for Him. Do it now.
