We were working around the barn when she drove up and said, " They're Here!" and sped off to the local post office to pick up the baby chickens she had ordered. Shortly she came back and unloaded the small box they came in and started carefully placing them one by one in the big wooden box in the garage. My wife spent several days getting their bedding, food,water and the special heat lamp. We get so much fun and enjoyment from just by standing quietly by the box and watching them. Some sleeping, some eating, some drinking water and others just walking around. Seeing those baby chicks reminds me of something in the Bible. When someone calls upon Jesus Christ for salvation there is immediately a great response in Heaven. For one, there is great joy among the Angels, (Luke 15:10) because of the new arrival into the family or Kingdom of God. Something else, that person’s name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life, (Revelation 20:15 & 21:27). I wonder if God gets as much enjoyment watching new believers or new Christians as we enjoy watching those new baby chicks? We are special and important to Him and He will also make sure we are provided for just as we care for those little chicks, (John 10:28 & 10:10 &15:9). See you in Church next Sunday.
