ALCO holds Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

A Grand Opening and ribbon cutting for the new ALCO store was held Wednesday, October 13 starting at 7:00 a.m. Customers were met with a friendly greeting; opportunities to sign up for a $100 shopping spree; a 42" PlasmaTV; coffee, soft drinks, cookies, cake; and a store full of merchandise that did not require a 40 mile trip to purchase.

Before the ribbon cutting, City Mayor, Ken Jordan welcomed ALCO as an asset to the community. On hand for the celebration were officials from ALCO’s headquarters in Abilene, Kansas, Rudy Campos, District Manager; Tim Kishel, Regional Loss Prevention Manager; Bobbi Harte, Director of Merchandising; Dan Roth, Vice President of Operations; President/CEO, Rich Wilson. Local employees are from Richland Springs, San Saba, and Locker. Two employees from ALCO’s Comanche store helped with the Grand Opening. Attending from the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce were: Fern Reed, Marsha Dyer, Cynthia Weatherby, Marian Deans, Rusty Glover, T. Noel Wood, Misty Everett, and Lewann Turner.
